West Indies vs India 1st T20 Match Update
India have blown hot and cold with team India performance in the T20 format over the last 12 months, failing to win two successive series and managing only three series victories out of the seven they have played since November 2018. That they haven’t fielded their best eleven as yet in this format was not lost on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma when asked about India’s fifth-placed ranking. However, ahead of the three-match T20I series against West Indies which starts on Friday (December 6), India look close as close to full strength as is possible.
When: Friday, December 6, 7:00 PM IST
Where: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad
What to expect: While the wicket has traditionally helped the bowlers in Hyderabad, there were also some big totals posted during the 2019 edition of the IPL. Pleasant weather, with a high of 22 degree Celsius, will welcome the teams around match time. Also to watch out the third umpire tracking front-foot no-balls during this series.

Probable XI: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli (c), Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (wk), Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar/Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav/Yuzvendra Chahal, Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar
West Indies
Nicholas Pooran, who is part of the squad for the T20I series, will miss out from the first game as he’s still serving his three-match suspension for tampering with the ball. With Shai Hope also not part of the team, Ramdin is likely to take the gloves for the first game.
Probable XI: Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Brandon King, Shimron Hetmyer, Kieron Pollard (c), Denesh Ramdin (wk), Jason Holder, Keemo Paul, Fabian Allen, Hayden Walsh Jr., Sheldon Cottrell
